Tesla Rd. which continues as Corral Hollow Rd. is fairly heavily traveled and roughly parallels Patterson Pass Rd. It is a bit more of an engaging drive compared to Patterson Pass, but also has a bit more traffic. Tesla Rd. - Corral Hollow Rd. is longer than Patterson Pass, but also puts you further south on I-580.

Tesla Rd. has a very engaging section with switchbacks, esses, and elevation changes. Other than this section, it's mostly wide sweeping corners that are not very challenging. Nonetheless, it is a good area to observe the native vegetation around the Central Valley area. Corral Hollow has quite a bit of traffic though, so pick your time carefully if you do not wish to be stuck behind commuters. Overall, though there is one challenging section on this road, Patterson Pass is probably a better alternative as there is less traffic.
