Red Lodge, Montana - Yellowstone

Beartooth Pass climbs southwest out of Red Lodge Montana to an amazing 10,974' before arriving at northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Obviously snow and inclement weather can have a big impact on road conditions here, and the road is only open from May to mid-October.

Yellowstone National Park information about this road here.

How to find:
Interstate 90 / US 212 east out of Billings;
south on US 212 / US 310 out of Laurel to Red Lodge.

- Back to United States

Summertime fun only, gates close in the winter.

That pretty much says it all.
Naturally aspirated vehicles need not apply at over 10,000 feet.
