Below is a selection of roads for this area. I have not driven every road in the area, and not every road I drive is worthy of ending up on this list. If there are any roads that you feel should be listed and don't see below, let me know.

In an attempt to better explain what the road is like, I have also developed a rating system for the roads I drive. These reviews are based on personal preference and perspective, but hopefully they will help you decide which route(s) to take on your next drive.

Fun . . . . . . . . (1-5, 5 being best)
Difficulty . . . . .(Low, Medium, High)
Traffic . . . . . . (None, Light, Medium, High)
Driveways . . . .(Amount of driveways & cross traffic; None, Light, Medium, High)
Condition . . . . (Road & surface condition; Poor, Fair, Good)

Up in this part of the state it is pretty hard to find a road that isn't worth driving, although I'm not about to start listing the roads to stay away from. With little population density, and thus little traffic, and amazing scenery you can drive all day long and not find a bad road. Note that most of the roads up here are maintained seasonally and will most likely not be passable in the winter.

Do be careful, however, because what constitutes a "road" in this part of the world may not be what you are used to. Narrow, un-signed, single lane roads are common up here. Looking for a road that is 12' wide, no guardrails, signs, or reflectors, and a 400' drop down to a wild and scenic river? You've come to the right place. How about a road that turns to dirt 40 miles out? Yep, they've got those too. But if you've got a WRX, Evo, or are just brave than you can really enjoy yourself out here.

Click on the road you wish to view, or you can also click on the adjacent areas to be taken to that page.
