Below is a selection of roads for this area. I have not driven every road in the area, and not every road I drive is worthy of ending up on this list. If there are any roads that you feel should be listed and don't see below, let me know.

In an attempt to better explain what the road is like, I have also developed a rating system for the roads I drive. These reviews are based on personal preference and perspective, but hopefully they will help you decide which route(s) to take on your next drive.

Fun . . . . . . . . (1-5, 5 being best)
Difficulty . . . . .(Low, Medium, High)
Traffic . . . . . . (None, Light, Medium, High)
Driveways . . . .(Amount of driveways & cross traffic; None, Light, Medium, High)
Condition . . . . (Road & surface condition; Poor, Fair, Good)

This is the area you will find Angeles Crest and Angeles Forest Highways, I'm not even sure what else needs to be said. Less than an hour's drive from almost anywhere in the LA basin are some of the most amazing roads around. Watch out for night and winter closures on some of these roads, Public Works can't keep Angeles Crest open year round and heavy rains during the winter can wash out many roads up in this area. During the summer weekends many roads in this area can get clogged with hikers and families out for a picnic, but driven at the right time they can provide a lot of enjoyment.

Click on the road you wish to view, or you can also click on the adjacent areas to be taken to that page.
