Hwy. 78 is a a state highway and as such usually wouldn't make the list in Southern California, but if you are out playing on Palomar and Montezuma you probably have to get back to the 5 or 15 somehow. While there is obviously a fair amound of traffic on this road, the Saturday afternoon I last drove it on wasn't too bad.

Since it is a state highway and more likely to be patroled I didn't push it too hard, but east of Julian the road is quite curvy. West of Julian it isn't quite so tight but there are still a fair amount of curves to play with. The San Diego Wild Animal Park is on this road just west off the map, so if you happen to be going there this road doesn't make a bad detour on the way out.

East of Julian is pretty crowded.
Yellow: Yaqui Pass Rd.

The better half, note the long straight in the center.
